25 Totally Random Things About Me
I was going through some old documents on my computer and came across this. I just thought that I would share......
1. I love music so much and don’t know how I would get through my days without it. I also love discovering new music (new to me)
2. I love to cook! It’s like therapy to me but given the chance I would rather go out to eat at a restaurant….I’m lazy like that.
3. I can be VERY lazy! The complete opposite of my over achiever husband.
4. I am so extremely excited to have children but am also incredibly freaked out about if I will be a good mommy
5. I love my husband so much that it scares me.
6. I am sick all the time. I think I am the sickest person I know. I just have a very delicate system that gets very easily out of whack.
7. My dream job is to be a stay at home mom and house wife.
8. I worry about the people around me dying all the time. Like Mandy said, I think that I may need some form of therapy for this. I worry every time that Brad goes out the door that something will happen to him. When I say goodbye to the people I love, it always crosses my mind that I might not ever see them again. I know….very morbid!
9. A continuation of #8, I worry ALL THE TIME!
10. I’m a super prissy girlie girl! I wear makeup all the time. I love makeup, perfume, lotion, and hair stuff. If I worked at Sephora I would be in major financial trouble!
11. I am a total night person. I have to make myself go to bed at a decent hour because I could stay up all night if I allowed myself to.
12. TJ Maxx is my favorite store. I could easily spend half a day there.
13. I love pictures!!! I like to take them and look at them! I could go to someone’s house and look at their photos for hours even if I didn’t know anyone in the photos. I’ve been like this since I was little. I wish that I were better at photography though. Maybe someday I will take a class.
14. I am almost always cold.
15. I’m very forgetful. I have to write everything down or I will never remember! My desk at work looks like someone blew up a post-it-note pad.
16. I am very hard on myself….something that I have to learn to change
17. I am a very empathetic person and very much affected by others moods and vibes which can be very draining by the end of the day.
18. I try to always treat others as I would want to be treated.
19. I am constantly hurting myself by running into things, tripping (usually over my own feet), or hitting my head on something. It’s a good thing that my mother didn’t name me Grace.
20. I broke my nose when I was a baby by falling head first through a glass coffee table. (The clumsiness started at an early age)
21. I wish that I could sing. If I had any singing talent whatsoever, I would pursue a career in music.
22. I am an old soul and have always gotten along with people much older than me. My mom and family said that even as a child I acted like a wise little old woman.
23. I think I’m a hell of a lot funnier than I really am. I often laugh at my own jokes more than others do. Hey at least I get a kick out of myself!
24. I am never bored. The word bored never comes out of my mouth. I think that if you are bored than you are a boring person.
25. I love my dog Lucy so freaking much. Just looking at her makes me happy. She is sweet, understanding, a great listener, beautiful, a great spooner in bed, smart, loves to hold hands, & I can’t imagine my life without her.

Ok So Long Time No Post
Well lets see, a lot has happened since the last time that I posted.
Our beautiful, sweet, smart, amazing baby Wyatt was born on November 12, 2010 at 6:21 AM.
He weighed 5 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 inches long. He had some trouble breathing when he was born so unfortunately he spent the first 5 days of his life in the NICU. It felt like 5 months to his mommy and daddy. :( We were so happy to finally have him home!
He is all of our dreams come true in one tiny little person. I can't believe that he is going to be four months old on the 12th of March. Time is going by way too fast! We are cherishing every single minute that we have with him and trying to remember these sweet precious times of him being so little. He changes so much every day and just when you think that he can't get any cuter, he does!!
Here are some pictures from his first week.

I've Been A Very Bad Blogger
I have not blogged in at least 4 months!!! This pregnancy thing keeps you busy!! Things have been moving along really well in my pregnancy. I have to say that I've been really lucky! I've had some really really bad indigestion but that's nothing that I can't deal with. We are on our way to getting the nursery finished. We have the guest bed moved into the other room and all of the baby furniture put together thanks to Brittany, Ryan, Ernest and Abbie!! I don't know what we would do without our amazing friends. I've started to wash some of Wyatt's baby clothes. :) They are SO CUTE and little! I can't bring myself to even look at the 6 to 9 month clothes. They look so big to me and I don't want to think of him being that big yet. Here are some pictures to catch you up on my (belly growing) process and the nursery.......

IT'S A BOY!!!!
We are Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo EXCITED!!!! I was just positive that we were having a girl! I guess my motherly intuition is already off! I'm not going to lie, a big part of thinking I was having a girl was that I just can't imagine myself with a boy! I'm such a girly girl! I love makeup, clothes, painting my nails!! I'm excited to see how having a boy changes me though. I can't wait to meet the little person in there!! Here are some of our ultra sound pics. There are a few in there that are much more clear. We think that the ultra-sound tech did a few 4D pics for us! She was awesome! He was moving around a lot!!
~He's already a cutie! He has his arms up here.~
~He kept putting his hands behind his neck and crossing his ankles like he was just in there relaxing~
I almost forgot to tell you!!!
We are naming him

Yay!! We're expecting!!
It's true!! We are going to have a little one! Brad and I are both SO SO SO EXCITED! I am 16 weeks along right now which makes me 4 months pregnant. I was horribly sick the first 3 months of my pregnancy hence my lack of blog entries. :)
We found out that I was pregnant after a short vacation with Brad's parents in New Orleans. I didn't know I was pregnant and I had even taken some pregnancy test while we were in New Orleans but they all came back negative. I just thought that it was like every month before for the past year and a half where we would get our hopes up and be let down. Two weeks before I had to have a test to check my fallopian tubes called a hysterosalpingogram where they put dye through your tubes to see if they are blocked. NOT FUN!! It's not uncommon for women to get pregnant within a few months of having this test. Well....it didn't take me a few months! I got pregnant within a week of having the test!! We were shocked! It wasn't long before I started having morning sickness or should I say all day sickness!! I am so glad that I was one of those women that felt better after the first trimester. If feeling like that had gone on for the rest of my pregnancy I might have gone into a deep deep depression never to return. :)
We are hopefully going to find out the gender on Thursday. We are crossing our fingers that little Bean doesn't have their legs crossed!!
I will keep you posted!!

Buying Dishes and Walking Around In Your Head: A Metacognitive Journey Through The Mind
Lately I’ve been on the hunt for new dishes. The dishes that Brad and I bought after we got married are not microwave safe and over the past few years we have slowly ruined every dish that we had by absent mindedly using them in the microwave. We got these dishes not realizing they were not microwave safe. We mistakenly assumed that in this day and age that almost all dishes would be microwave safe. When the box says NOT MICROWAVE SAFE they basically mean that if you stick this plate, cup or bowl in the microwave you will get it out and it will fall to pieces in your hands.
Over the years Brad has slowly given up the house decorating to me. He used to battle me on home decor but I think that over time he has realized that it is futile to fight me on these things. I think that as long as I don’t turn our house into a shabby chic girly girl flowery abode then he is ok. I do however want him to feel at home in his own house and to actually like his surroundings so I do come to him for his opinion from time to time to make sure that he doesn’t absolutely hate something before I buy it.
This all leads to a hilarious conversation that I had with Brad over chat today about the dishes that I’m thinking of buying….
Bradley: what are you doing?
Me: I’m looking at dishes at Target since we have gift cards there I have been waiting for them to get something in that I will fall in love with
Bradley: well they are never going to sell dishes with my face so you may be out of luck
Me: HA!!! You are freaking nuts! Where do you come up with this stuff?
Bradley: growing up in Oz with the munchkins helped a lot
Me: see there's another one! I’m sure glad that you are crazy cause then you won't notice how weird I am.
So I send him this picture of the dishes I like.
Bradley: don’t care, buy them if you like them just make sure I can put them in the microwave
Me: I’m just thinking that you have dishes for a long time and have to look at them for forever so I want to get something that we won't get sick of. Those would match everything no matter what color we had the kitchen
Bradley: they remind me of what the inside of your head would look like if I were able to go in and walk around
Me: LOL!!!!!! Oh you are hilarious!!!
So you like them then cause you would like the inside of my head?
Bradley: I would love the inside of your head ... it would be a magical place with fairies and different types of birds... it would always be dusk.. and relaxing
Me: you are killing me Talls! You are so funny today
Bradley: why thanks
ok.. back to grading short answer questions
